Tránsito Día de Muertos is part of the photographic exploration I have been developing for years, as a personal and artistic journey into inhabited spaces.

On this occasion, Mexico’s Day of the Dead becomes the setting for a visual exploration of the encounter between life and death, where remembrance turns into presence and collective memory keeps alive those who are no longer with us. Streets, squares, and cemeteries fill with rituals, lights, and colors, creating an atmosphere in which time seems to dissolve and the visible and invisible coexist.

The series seeks to go beyond the most recognizable images of this celebration to delve into its essence, from intimate rituals to collective expressions. Amid offerings, candles, and ethereal figures, movement and tradition weave a visual memory in which fleeting moments endure. A reflection on identity, belonging, and the traces left by those who are no longer here, yet continue to inhabit our spaces.
